Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Compliance Manager to ensure LIHTC/HUD compliance across on-site and corporate operations. You will oversee audits, training, and regulatory reporting; travel as needed to support sites and agencies.

The role focuses on LIHTC, Fair Housing, and compliance procedures, with data entry, certification processing, and coordination with housing authorities to ensure successful annual audits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of on-site or compliance experience processing LIHTC cert paperwork.
• Experience with HUD, Section 8, 202 and/or 811 programs.
• Knowledge of LIHTC certification paperwork processing.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, properties and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Work with on-site and corporate staff to ensure regulatory compliance with housing programs.
• Travel based on business need.
• Perform audits and implement necessary solutions.
• Provide administrative support including data entry into compliance reporting systems and filing.
• Train on-site staff in LIHTC, Fair Housing and other compliance procedures.
• Process move-ins and recertifications commissions.
• Communicate with Local Housing Authority and State Agency staff about compliance, inspections and audits.
• Assist in Mass Recertifications/Re-syndication/Lease ups/Acquisitions.
• Review property management software data for accuracy.
• Ensure proper number of 60/50% Tax Credit, Bond, and RDA units per property.
• Follow up and retrieve Utility Allowances and income/rent limits.
