Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) in Los Angeles is seeking a Compliance Manager to ensure HUD/LIHTC compliance across our properties. You will audit processes, train on-site staff, and coordinate with corporate teams to maintain accurate compliance records.

Requires 1–2 years of LIHTC or Section 42 paperwork experience, HUD program knowledge, and strong attention to detail. Some travel is required to support sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of on-site or compliance experience processing LIHTC paperwork
• Experience with HUD, Section 8, 202, and/or 811 programs
• Knowledge of LIHTC certification paperwork
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication with colleagues and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with housing programs.
• Travel as required.
• Perform audits and implement solutions.
• Data entry into compliance reporting systems and ongoing file maintenance.
• Conduct on-going training for on-site staff (LIHTC, Fair-housing).
• Process commissions for move-ins and re-certifications.
• Communicate with Local Housing Authority and State Agency staff.
• Assist in Mass Recertifications/Re-syndication/Lease ups/Acquisitions.
• Review property management software data for accuracy.
• Ensure proper 60/50% Tax Credit, Bond, and RDA units per property.
• Follow up utility allowances and income/rent limits.
