Job summary

Guardian is hiring a Full Time Community Manager for Caritas Plaza and McCoy Village in Portland, OR. This role oversees property operations, staffing, and compliance with LIHTC/HUD programs, with a focus on resident service, budgets, and timely reporting.

The manager ensures fair housing compliance, high-quality customer service, and coordination with vendors, while driving occupancy and financial performance across two sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience managing a multi-family community.
• At least one year in affordable housing or related industry.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws in Oregon.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficient with basic technology and budgeting concepts.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; able to complete training on time.

Responsibilities

• Represent Guardian positively and professionally at all times.
• Coordinate operations to meet property management obligations.
• Manage operations compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
• Assist in operating budgets and capital budgets aligned with owner objectives.
• Analyze monthly financials and manage cash flow and delinquencies.
• Oversee leasing efforts, tenant billings, and lease compliance.
• Supervise site staff and vendors; conduct regular meetings and report minutes.
• Ensure compliance with affordable program requirements and funding rules.
• Liaise with corporate departments for cross-functional support.
