Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Lighting Technician C in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This entry-level position works from aerial devices, ladders, and ground level to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, operation of bucket trucks and other equipment, and communicating with property owners. Pre-employment checks apply; willingness to travel for emergencies may be needed.

Qualifications

• Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications that you have obtained during your career.
• Must have knowledge of energized high voltage systems requiring specific skill set.
• Must be able to climb different structures and possess the tools to do the climb.
• Must be able to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist in installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicates work to be performed with public and private property owners.
• Exposed to traffic and may require flagging certification.
• Work on elevated surfaces.
• Assist a higher-level technician in lighting construction and maintenance.
• Safely work on voltage 600 volts or less with minimal oversight.
• All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
