Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Lighting Technician C to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment. The role involves working from aerial devices, ladders, and ground level, with a strong emphasis on safety and clear communication with the public.

As an entry-level position, you will earn a competitive hourly rate, with benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Must have knowledge of working with energized high voltage systems requiring specific skill set.
• Must be able to climb different structures and possess the tools to do the climb.
• Must be able to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment. (i.e., bucket truck, digger derrick truck, tensioners, puller, rollers, hand tamp, chain saw, concrete saw, shovel)

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate work to be performed.
• Exposed to traffic and may require flagging certification.
• Work on elevated surfaces.
• Any other duties related to the installation of lighting power supply.
• Assist a higher-level technician in lighting construction and maintenance.
• Safely work on voltage 600 volts or less with minimal oversight.
• All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
