Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Lighting Technician A with at least three years of lighting experience. This role involves working from aerial devices, ladders, and ground level to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment, contributing to safe and reliable outdoor lighting infrastructure.

Responsibilities include clearing work areas, reading prints, coordinating with property owners, and safely handling voltages up to 600 volts.

Qualifications

• Three years of lighting experience.
• Fully understand lighting work activities.
• Must have knowledge of working with energized high voltage systems requiring specific skill set.
• Must be able to climb different structures and possess the tools to do the climb.
• Must be able to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment. (i.e., bucket truck, digger derrick truck, tensioners, puller, rollers, hand tamp, chain saw, concrete saw, shovel)

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate work to be performed.
• Read prints and determine how to isolate protection circuits.
• Participate in medium to large lighting construction activities.
• Any other duties related to the installation of lighting power supply.
• Safely work on voltage 600 volts or less.
• Assist a lower-level technician in lighting construction and maintenance activities.
• All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
