Job summary

Republic & T.F. Ehrhart, Davenport, IA, is seeking an Electrical Lighting Inside Sales Representative to support customer requests by phone and email, enter and review orders, project plans and follow through on product deliveries and information requests to ensure customer needs are met promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical distribution preferred.
• Experience in lighting design or controls application is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional organizational, problem solving, time management and communication skills required.
• Exceptional customer service skills required.
• Attention to detail is required.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection and pricing, and handle orders and credits.
• Answer incoming sales calls and assist with counter sales as needed.
• Expedite orders and requests for literature or other information.
• Complete lighting audits for end users.
• Manage orders, expediting and communication with the customer.
• Describe products or services and assist customers in selecting best options.
• Quote prices, terms, availability, delivery dates and process orders.
• Access, update and maintain records for individual accounts.
• Sales order entry and purchasing of customer requirements for price lines.
• Organize and maintain product catalog library.
• Coordinate activities with internal departments and vendors.
• Provide technical and product assistance to generate new and repeat sales.
• Place purchase orders with suppliers within company guidelines.
• Analyze solutions to meet customer needs.
• Attend product training sessions and develop product knowledge.
