The YMCA of Greater Cleveland offers year-round LIFEGUARD opportunities at all of our indoor pools.

This is a part-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain CPR, First Aid, and other required YMCA certifications.
2. Ensure the safety of participants during classes and open swim sessions.
3. Adhere to Bloodborne Pathogen standards and attend annual training.
4. Notify a supervisor of any faulty equipment or unsafe conditions.
5. Document incidents that occur during shifts daily.
6. Monitor chlorine, pH levels, and water temperature hourly.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to read, write, and understand written directions.
2. Must be at least 15 years of age.
3. Current YMCA or Red Cross lifeguarding certification and CPR PRO certification.
4. Physical ability to rescue individuals from water.
5. Prior experience is helpful.
