Job summary

SafeSplash is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to oversee the safety of students, parents, staff and daily operations at our facility. You will maintain constant surveillance, report hazards, and ensure compliance with curriculum safety requirements.

The role requires lifeguard certification, CPR/First Aid/AED, teamwork, and the ability to work around water and with children and parents. Flexible hours and on-site work are offered, with paid training and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification is required and must be maintained.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Must learn the curriculum to include all safety aspects within 30 days.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable around water and interacting with children and parents.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance to ensure customer safety and report unsafe activities or equipment to management.
• Provide feedback to instructors if safety requirements are not followed.
• Act promptly to secure customer safety during emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Prepare incident reports as required.
• Maintain a professional and engaging attitude.
• Attend monthly in-services to improve lifeguarding skills.

Responsibilities

Safety

• Maintain constant surveillance to ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management.
• Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Prepare appropriate incident reports.
• Always present a professional and engaging attitude.
• Attend monthly in-services to continue to work on lifeguarding skills.

Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required

Requirements
