Job summary

SafeSplash is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to oversee safety for students, parents, and staff at our Atlanta-area location. The role reports to School Leadership and requires maintaining constant supervision, emergency responsiveness, and engaging interaction with children and families.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, coordinating with instructors, and ongoing lifeguard skill development through monthly in-services.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification required and maintained.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance to ensure customer safety and report unsafe activities.
• Provide feedback to instructors if safety standards are not met.
• Act immediately to secure safety during emergencies and provide EMS until arrival.
• Prepare incident reports.
• Present a professional and engaging attitude.
• Attend monthly in-services to improve lifeguarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety
• Maintain constant surveillance to ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management.
• Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Prepare appropriate incident reports.
• Always present a professional and engaging attitude.
• Attend monthly in-services to continue to work on lifeguarding skills.

• Deliver a world-class experience by ensuring we are providing a safe environment for our swimmers.

Job Type

• Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required
• 10+ hours a week (seasonality can impact this)
• Work Location: On-site
• Reports to School Leadership

Requirements

• Lifeguard Certification is required and must be maintained during time of employment (training available)
• Current CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 30 days of hire and be maintained (training available)
• Expected to learn the curriculum to include all safety aspects within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods
