Job summary

Primary Talent Partners, LLC seeks a Communications - Writer - Technical (Entry Level) in Pensacola, FL for a 2-month contract. The role requires producing installation and user guides, using MadCap Flare, and delivering in HTML5, CHM, and PDF formats. W2 contract with no PTO or benefits; ACA enrollment options available.

You will collaborate with engineers, developers, product managers, and support staff to create accurate, user-friendly documentation for life sciences instruments and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or related field.
• At least 5 years of technical writing experience for hardware/software.
• Proficient with MadCap Flare or similar single-source tool.
• HTML/CSS experience is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe CS, SolidWorks, Jira, and FrameMaker is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills; detail-oriented.
• Comfortable collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write and update content to support installation, usage, and maintenance.
• Create single-source content using MadCap Flare for HTML5, CHM, PDF.
• Follow version control policies for drafts and publications.
• Gather requirements from project teams and stakeholders.
• Attend team meetings and standups to report progress and gather info.
• Attend product training as needed.
• Manage and prioritize writing projects for on-time delivery.
