Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Director, Client Services – Life Sciences Practice Lead to own the Life Sciences strategy, offerings, pipeline health, talent, and reputation across pharma, biotech, medtech, diagnostics, CROs, and life sciences distribution. They will also serve as the hands-on Client Services Director on our most strategic Life Sciences accounts, translating client agendas into data/AI programs.

The role requires expert client relationships, a deep understanding of R&D-to-commercial

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consulting or professional services with leadership of client accounts.
• 5+ years serving Life Sciences clients (pharma, biotech, medtech, diagnostics, CRO).
• Executive presence and trusted relationships at VP/C-level in Life Sciences.
• Knowledge of data stacks and cloud platforms, Snowflake preferred.
• Experience with regulated delivery in Life Sciences (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Proven ability to define and execute practice strategy with revenue targets.
• Proven pipeline development and co-owning pursuit strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Sciences practice strategy, offerings and revenue plan.
• Act as the primary client-facing director on strategic accounts.
• Mentor Engagement Managers and architects across delivery tracks.
• Negotiate SOWs, manage margins and escalation on client issues.
• Represent the practice at conferences and partner events.
