Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Life Sciences North America Lab Practice Sales Lead to drive growth for its Lab Centre of Excellence within the Life Sciences sector. You will expand the laboratory digital transformation portfolio, manage client relationships, identify opportunities, and position lab informatics, automation, AI, data management, and compliance solutions across accounts.

You will collaborate with account teams, delivery leaders, operations, marketing, and global sales to enable business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of relevant professional experience.
Experience selling commercial software, technology services, consulting services, or digital transformation solutions.
Strong knowledge of Life Sciences laboratory operations and laboratory informatics platforms (LIMS, CDS, ELN/LES, SDMS, Data Integrity & Reporting).
Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
Experience in matrixed, cross-functional, and global organizations.
Strong communications, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel throughout North America.

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth, revenue attainment, and account expansion for Life Sciences clients.
Develop and execute strategic account plans including cross-selling and upselling Cognizant’s lab technology portfolio.
Build and maintain client relationships as primary contact for transformation opportunities.
Progress opportunities through sales lifecycle with client teams.
Lead pursuit strategy, proposals, and commercial discussions.
Position lab informatics and digital lab solutions through consultative selling.
Collaborate with delivery and operations to ensure successful engagements.
Maintain CRM pipeline and opportunity data.
Support marketing, lead gen, and industry events.
Facilitate transition of won opportunities to delivery teams.
