Job summary

Guidehouse Life Sciences is seeking an Associate Director to lead project teams from initiation to delivery, ensuring high-quality client-ready work and effective management of budgets, staffing, and timelines.

You will mentor consultants, collaborate with Directors and MDs, and participate in sales and practice development. Travel is project dependent but averages up to 30% across US client sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related; advanced degree/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of consulting or pharma/biotech experience with large/global clients.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch.
• Ability to analyze complex information, identify key issues, and develop effective strategies.
• Experience advising brand leaders and analytics teams to support portfolio and launch planning.
• Experience with market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, brand strategy, and budget planning.
• Proficient with pharma datasets (CMS, EvaluatePharma, IQVIA/Symphony/Komodo, Veeva) and data analytics.
• Ability to work independently with oversight; manage workstreams and mentor others.
• Excellent communication skills to convey strategic recommendations to senior management.
• 5+ years leading project engagements with planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• 3+ years of formal team performance management.
• Willing to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from cultivation to completion with designated project teams.
• Develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets.
• Coach staff consultants and provide feedback on engagement contributions and career growth.
• Collaborate with Directors/Managing Directors and support sales initiatives.
• Communicate progress and key developments to stakeholders and clients.
