Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Associate Director in Boston to lead life sciences consulting engagements across pharma, biotech and medical devices. You will manage project teams, ensure high-quality client-ready work, and guide staff through complex engagements.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, shape project plans, budgets and staffing, and contribute to business development while traveling up to 30% across US client sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related field; advanced degree/PhD preferred.
• 6+ years of prior relevant consulting or pharma/biotech experience with large global pharma, mid-sized pharma and/or biotech clients.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch.
• Excellent communication skills to convey strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access) to guide client and team decision-making.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30%.
• Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from cultivation to completion and manage a designated project team.
• Develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets; supervise staff consultants.
• Coach staff and provide feedback for career development and performance.
• Collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors and support sales initiatives.
