Job summary

Avantor in Massachusetts is seeking a Life Science Sales Specialist to drive growth across the Life Science portfolio by marrying scientific expertise with consultative selling. You will work with territory teams, customers and partners to identify opportunities, develop solutions and close complex deals.

Key focus areas include Genomics, Proteomics, Cellular Science and Microbiology workflows, stakeholder engagement across RDs and business development, and ongoing mentorship to new Life Science

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field required
Advanced degrees (Masters/PhD) preferred
4-5 years of industry/lab experience required

Responsibilities

Sell entire Life Science portfolio with emphasis on Cell Biology, Genomics and Proteomics workflows.
Identify and close new business with RDs, Business Development and Strategic Partners to drive National and Multi-site Programs in Life Science.
Coordinate with territory sales teams, customers, and partners to develop solutions and close complex deals.
Mentor and support new Life Science Specialists.
Communicate goals, trends, and performance to sales reps and managers.
