Job summary

Evermont Group in San Diego is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its life science construction team. You will support delivery of life science projects, coordinate with project managers and field teams, and help manage RFIs, submittals, and project records.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a general contractor in a Senior Project Engineer, APM or similar construction role.
• Life science construction experience needed (GC side - not owners rep)
• Exposure to commercial projects of meaningful size and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and project coordination
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with project management, field teams and subcontractors
• Stable employment history preferred
• San Diego or wider Southern California construction experience beneficial

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of life science construction projects across San Diego
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation and project records
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, architects and internal project teams
• Assist with procurement, scheduling, cost tracking and project reporting
• Review drawings, specifications and other construction documents
• Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or delivery
• Support projects from preconstruction and mobilization through closeout
• Develop toward increased project management responsibility as experience grows
