Job summary

Evermont Group in San Diego is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its life science construction team. You will support delivery of life science projects, coordinate with project managers and field teams, and help manage RFIs, submittals, and project records.

This role offers exposure to senior leadership, a clear path to increased PM responsibility, and a competitive compensation package including bonus potential and benefits in a growing Southern California market.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a general contractor in a Senior Project Engineer, APM or similar construction role.
• Life science construction experience needed (GC side - not owners rep)
• Exposure to commercial projects of meaningful size and complexity
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and project coordination
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with project management, field teams and subcontractors
• Stable employment history preferred
• San Diego or wider Southern California construction experience beneficial

Responsibilities

Assistant Project Manager - Life Science Construction

Up to $130,000 + Project-Based Bonus

We are partnering with an established Southern California general contractor to hire an Assistant Project Manager for its growing life science construction team in San Diego.

The company specializes in healthcare and life science construction, delivering projects for hospitals, pharmaceutical, biotech and other institutional clients across Southern California. It has built a strong base of repeat clients and has a growing pipeline of work across San Diego.

This is an opportunity to join a smaller, established contractor where APMs get meaningful exposure to projects and work closely with experienced Project Managers, Superintendents and senior leadership.

The Role
