Job summary

Evermont Group is seeking a Project Engineer for its healthcare and life science construction team in San Diego. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and senior leadership on hospital, pharmaceutical and biotech projects in Southern California.

Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams, managing RFIs and submittals, and helping with procurement, scheduling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a general contractor in a Project Engineer or similar construction role.
• Healthcare or life science construction experience.
• Exposure to commercial projects of meaningful size and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and project coordination.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of healthcare construction projects across San Diego.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation and project records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, architects and internal project teams.
• Assist with procurement, scheduling, cost tracking and project reporting.
• Review drawings, specifications and other construction documents.
• Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or delivery.
• Support projects from preconstruction and mobilization through closeout.
• Develop toward increased project management responsibility as experience grows.
