Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a high-profile life sciences client in Foster City, CA. This role focuses on assisting the project management team with constructability reviews, scheduling, bid processes, and on-site coordination with a strong MEP foundation.

You will gain exposure to complex facilities, participate in QA/QC, monitor contract compliance, review RFIs/submittals, and assist with field reporting under the Project Manager’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other MEP-related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience supporting construction projects, ideally within life sciences, biotech, or healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination of project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with constructability review, value engineering, and pay app reviews.
• Assist in scheduling design, bid, and project phases.
• Conduct pre-bid and job-start meetings under supervision of the Project Manager.
