Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Life Safety Systems Sales Representative, Electronic, to promote Fire Safety/Fire Alarm systems to contractors and end users within an assigned territory. You will establish contact with prospects, qualify leads, and develop a sales strategy to win new business.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, build proposals, deliver seminars and demonstrations, and manage accounts to meet a quota.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years successful sales experience in Electronic Systems or similar experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Fire Safety/Fire Alarm Systems to contractor customers and end users in an assigned territory.
• Establish contact with prospects, qualify leads, and schedule sales calls.
• Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of offerings, qualify opportunities, and maintain territory records.
• Conduct seminars, demonstrations, and presentations to generate and qualify leads.
• Develop proposals, perform follow-up, and deliver sales to meet a quota.
• Interface with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery.
• Attend trade shows and events to grow sales and the company image.
