Job summary

Johnson Controls in California is seeking a Life Safety Electronic Service Sales Representative to promote and sell Electronic Fire Service offerings within your assigned territory and accounts. This field sales role covers moves, adds and changes, with end-to-end responsibility from opportunity discovery to closing.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, service and management teams, manage proposals, perform site surveys for estimates, and maintain account relationships to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering preferred.
• NICET certification within first 12 months of employment preferred.
• Experience working with electrical contractors and reading blueprints/wiring diagrams is desirable.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and job costing systems.
• Readiness to obtain licenses required by codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire sales process from opportunity to closing and ongoing customer service.
• Collaborate with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate services (installation, training) to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities and develop sales strategies to convey value of solutions.
• Prepare designs, contracts, and proposals; present to customers and close deals.
