Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Life Safety Electronic Service Sales Representative in the Rancho Cordova, CA area.

You will promote and sell Electronic Fire Service offerings to customers within your assigned territory, managing opportunities from proposal through delivery and ongoing service. Responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through effective presentations and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven sales success.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering preferred.
• NICET certification within first 12 months of employment.
• Experience with electrical contractors and reading blueprints/wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and job costing systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire sales process from opportunity to close and ongoing service.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, service, and management teams to meet customer needs.
• Assume account management responsibilities coordinating services to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities using strong sales, presentation and closing techniques.
• Determine customer needs and develop compelling product/service proposals.
• Conduct building surveys to support estimates.
• Maintain an active proposal backlog to support sales plan goals.
• Develop financial justifications and prepare proposals for closing deals.
• Close sales to meet or exceed objectives.
• Investigate and resolve delivery, billing and financing issues.
• Maintain existing accounts through regular contact to pursue additional sales.
• Perform market investigations to develop new applications; provide territory forecasts.
• Keep accurate records of all sales activities.
