Johnson Controls is hiring a Life Safety Service Rep, Electronic to support Fire/Life Safety service offerings and Electronic Services (Moves, Adds and Changes) for customers and end users within an assigned territory and account base. This field sales role focuses on building trusted customer relationships, developing solutions, and turning opportunities into long-term service business.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of sales experience in fire alarms, security control, and monitoring or similar industry.
• Excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• PC proficiency including Word and Excel; knowledge of job costing systems.
• Ability to obtain licenses required by codes and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sell Fire/Life Safety service offerings and Electronic Services (Moves, Adds and Changes) to assigned customers and end users.
• Manage the full sales process from discovery through proposal, negotiation, closing, and post-sale support.
• Coordinate with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams.
• Develop sales strategies to position offerings and meet objectives.
• Close sales to meet or exceed plan and maintain an active proposal backlog.
• Provide account management including installation and customer training to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations and follow up to secure the sale.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns regarding delivery dates, billing, and financing.
• Maintain accounts via regular contact, perform surveys to support estimates, and monitor market opportunities.
• Provide sales forecasting and keep accurate records of activity.
