National Life Group in Addison, TX is seeking an Associate Director, Life New Business Operations to drive performance, lead and develop associates, and ensure an exceptional customer experience across the new business lifecycle from application submission through policy placement.

The role partners with distribution and cross-functional stakeholders to identify improvements, balance customer needs with quality, compliance and risk, and deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of relevant operational or service experience.
• Formal people management experience with coaching and performance management.
• Ability to coach and develop leaders without direct reporting authority.
• Experience evaluating performance, data, and implementing improvements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Life New Business associates and leaders with accountability for results.
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to strengthen leadership capabilities.
• Set performance expectations and align priorities with departmental objectives.
• Analyze productivity, quality, and performance trends and implement improvements.
• Oversee staffing, workload, training, and day-to-day execution.
• Build partnerships with distribution and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and measure outcomes.
• Translate priorities into actionable operational plans and maintain knowledge of processes.
