Kemper in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a Life Insurance Sales Manager to recruit, develop, and lead a field-based team of insurance agents. You will spend most of your time in the field, coaching agents and delivering in‑home presentations.

You’ll build relationships in the community, drive territory growth, and ensure compliance and customer satisfaction through hands‑on leadership and use of company tools. Competitive pay, uncapped commissions, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in insurance sales or sales leadership
• Active Life, Health, Property, and Casualty licenses in required states
• Proven success recruiting, developing, coaching sales professionals
• Strong leadership, communication, and performance management skills
• Comfortable spending approximately 80% of time in the field with agents and customers
• Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, and minimum 100k/300k auto liability coverage
• Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high‑performing team of insurance agents
• Lead by example through active in‑person sales, including door‑to‑door prospecting and in‑home presentations
• Coach agents through field ride‑alongs, providing real‑time sales training and development
• Build a strong local presence by networking within the community to recruit talent and generate new business opportunities
• Drive territory growth by supporting agents in achieving sales goals and expanding customer relationships
• Monitor agent activity, identify coaching opportunities, and provide performance feedback to improve results
• Conduct field and phone‑based business reviews to reinforce compliance, customer engagement, and effective sales practices
• Demonstrate and reinforce the use of company technology, sales tools, and business processes
• Support customer needs in territories without assigned agents by personally conducting sales and service activities
• Partner with the District Manager to share field insights, identify training needs, and improve overall territory performance
