Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to design, implement, and facilitate a broad range of recreational and educational programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will collaborate with the LED, HSD, and HS assistants to plan calendars, recruit volunteers, coordinate transportation, and promote participation while maintaining records and supporting resident families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging, and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, implement and evaluate a wide variety of recreational and educational programs.
• Lead 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to tailor interests and measure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with program team to plan calendars, events and outings.
• Recruit, organize and oversee a volunteer program.
• Arrange transportation and assist during activities and outings.
