Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating meaningful programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will assist in planning, implementing, and facilitating activities that promote wellness, curiosity, and community involvement, while coordinating with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years in activities or senior programming is desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging, with a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and facilitating a monthly activity schedule based on wellness dimensions.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to tailor programs to interests and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with program team to plan calendars, supplies, and events.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to boost participation and satisfaction.
• Assist in documenting records and organizing resident council meetings.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a volunteer program.
• Promote programs with notices and posters; assist with setup and transportation as needed.
• Support off-site outings and ensure safe coordination for participants.
