Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant in Virginia Beach to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing a diverse calendar of activities for independent living and assisted living residents.

You will lead 6-7 high-quality programs daily, survey residents, coordinate with the team, recruit volunteers, arrange spaces and transportation, and help promote participation while maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; entry level position with 1-3 years preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging and passionate about working with seniors.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement a monthly program calendar based on wellness dimensions.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs daily for residents and families.
• Survey residents to determine interests, talents, and satisfaction with activities.
• Coordinate with the program team to organize calendars, supplies, and outings.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Promote programs with daily notices and posters; assist with organizing spaces.
• Assist with transportation to groceries, outings, and appointments; support off-site events.
