Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC in Roanoke, Virginia seeks a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to assist the Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing a range of meaningful programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will lead multiple daily activities, coordinate calendars and supplies, and foster participation through person-centered interests and family engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; entry level position with 1-3 years experience highly desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, consistent, imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of programs for IL and AL neighbors.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day and coordinate monthly activity calendars and supplies.
• Survey residents to determine interests and talents and promote participation with families.
• Coordinate with the program team to plan events, outings, and volunteer activities.
• Maintain records, organize programming spaces, and support resident council meetings.
