Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Avon, Indiana, seeks a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating and delivering diverse recreational and educational programs for independent living and assisted living residents. The role involves planning monthly activity calendars, coordinating supplies, and promoting resident participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; subject to state requirements.
• Entry level position with 1-3 years experience highly desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, consistent, imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support Life Enrichment Director in designing, implementing a wide variety of programs for IL/AL residents.
• Plan and implement a monthly activity calendar based on wellness dimensions.
• Survey residents to tailor activities to interests and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with program team to organize calendars, supplies, and events.
• Foster relationships with residents and families to promote participation and satisfaction.
• Maintain records and assist with resident council meetings and programming areas.
