Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Manager for Life & Disability Claims to lead a team responsible for day-to-day operations of long-term disability claims and client relations.

The role emphasizes effective risk management and adherence to federal/state requirements. The position supports a hybrid work model with at least 2 days in the office weekly, offers leadership development, and potential for discretionary incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years progressively responsible disability claims experience.
• Attains and maintains appropriate TPA licenses.
• Proven ability to train and motivate employees.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to groups.

Responsabilités

• Lead and motivate a team of claims professionals to deliver exceptional service.
• Ensure operations are compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Develop and foster client relationships and improve profitability of client blocks.
• Track metrics, trends and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Conduct internal/external claim audits and training sessions.
• Support implementation of new clients and policy/process improvements.
