Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Manager for Life & Disability Claims to lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and foster strong client relationships across a national footprint.

The role balances in-office collaboration at least 2 days per week with virtual work, and requires deep knowledge of disability products and claims management. The candidate will guide operational performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements while supporting and training staff and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years progressively responsible disability claims experience.
• Ability to lead, hire, train and motivate a team.
• Attains and maintains appropriate TP A licenses per Licensing Policy.
• Demonstrated leadership and training capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads and retains a team of claims professionals delivering exceptional service.
• Ensures operations are efficient, compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Develops and fosters client relationships and partner collaboration.
• Monitors metrics to track trends and adjust tactics.
• Supports policy development, procedures and systems improvements.
• Conducts internal and external training sessions and audits.
• Participates in new client prospecting and implementation.
• Maintains licensure and participates in industry meetings.
