Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Manager, Life & Disability Claims to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Long Term Disability claims team while fostering client relations and managing risk. The role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and process improvement within a hybrid work model.

The position requires 5+ years in disability claims, licensing eligibility, and strong communication and analytical skills to guide a diverse team and collaborate with partners across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressively responsible disability claims experience.
• Ability to obtain TPA licenses in accordance with policy.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local disability regulations.
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage a team of claims professionals delivering high-quality service to clients and claimants.
• Ensure operations are compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Develop plans for continuous improvement and coach individuals for growth.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal DRMS partners.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners on profitability of client blocks.
• Utilize metrics to track trends and adjust tactics.
