Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Licensing Associate to support the Licensing Department in processing contracts, appointments, and product training for financial advisors. You will coordinate requirements, communicate with carriers, and resolve issues to ensure timely licensing completions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in annuities, life insurance, long-term care, and/or disability income products or customer service in financial services.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Associate’s degree plus 2 years experience acceptable.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by HR.

Responsibilities

• Review contracting applications, appointment requests, product training and requirements.
• Submit license and appointment requests in a timely manner.
• Input data into database and verify accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries about licenses and appointments.
• Follow up with advisors until licensing requirements are complete.
• Escalate issues and respond to advisor questions promptly.
• Collaborate with the new business team on submitted business issues.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding submissions.
• Handle escalated cases with advisors and carriers.
• Monitor licensing mailbox for timely resolution.
• Notify management of escalated problems as needed.
• Support Insurance Licensing initiatives and related projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
