Parkland Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide total nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This TX-based role requires an LVN license and current BLS, with a 6A-6P schedule on a rotational basis.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, educate families, and document according to policy while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be LVN licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing or hold a valid Compact LVN license.
• No prior experience required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsabilités

• Screens and prioritizes patients to ensure timely treatment per physician orders.
• Assist with inpatient/clinic coordination and patient flow as directed.
• Maintain compliance with nursing policies, procedures and Joint Commission standards.
• Educate patients and families; participate in community outreach as assigned.
• Precept new staff and students as directed.
• Complete documentation according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with team to provide patient-centered care.
• Ensure supplies are available for patient care and assist with stocking.
• Sterilize patient areas and instruments.
• Identify opportunities to improve work processes and patient satisfaction.
• Stay current with nursing developments and maintain LVN licensure.
• Set up appointments and referrals as needed.
• Assist in transporting patients.
