Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide total nursing care under RN guidance in a hospital setting. You will screen and prioritize patients, assist with admissions, treatments, and discharges, while maintaining compliance with nursing standards.

The role requires an LVN license (or Compact LVN) and current BLS certification, with 40-hour work weeks Mon-Fri. Telehealth not required; on-site care delivery is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited vocational nursing program and licensed as LVN.
• Compact LVN license accepted where applicable.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Screens and prioritizes patients and delivers timely treatment per orders and policies.
• Assists with inpatient/clinic coordination and patient flow as directed.
• Maintains compliance with nursing regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Educates patients and families; participates in community outreach when assigned.
• Precepts new staff and students as directed by supervisor.
