Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the Day shift at West Tower in Dallas, TX. This full-time role provides total nursing care under the guidance of an RN, delivering patient-centered care per physician orders and standards.

Required is an LVN license in Texas (or a valid compact license) and current BLS. The LVN will participate in care coordination, education, and documentation while maintaining compliance with policies and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as an LVN, or hold a valid Compact LVN license.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Education from an accredited LVN program and valid licensure.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and prioritize patient needs and implement physician-approved orders.
• Assist with inpatient/clinic flow and patient treatments.
• Maintain compliance with nursing regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Parkland policies.
• Provide education to patients and families; document care per guidelines.
• Assist with precepting and training new staff as directed.
