Job summary
Parkland Community Health Plan is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the Irving Health Care Center. The LVN will provide total nursing care under RN supervision, support patient flow and clinical coordination, and engage in patient education and care planning.
The role requires an LVN license in Texas (or Compact), BLS certification, and a valid Texas driver license. Work hours are days, Monday through Friday, with on-site responsibilities at the Irving Health Care Center.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing and/or licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as an LVN, or a valid Compact LVN license.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA/ARC/Military Training Network.
- Hearing and Vision Screening Certificate within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver License.
Responsibilities
- Provide total nursing care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Screen and prioritize patients to deliver timely treatment.
- Assist with inpatient/clinic flow and coordination as directed.
- Maintain nursing standards per Hospital policies and Joint Commission rules.
- Set up appointments/referrals and assist with patient transport as needed.
- Participate in patient and family education and precept new staff as directed.
