Company Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey Group located in our Prince George, VA office. The Licensed Surveyor is responsible for managing assigned projects and client accounts, performing design-related surveying projects using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Project Management
2. Marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, scheduling, staff coordination, and client communication
3. Proposal preparation, scope and fee negotiations, billing, client follow-up, and fee collection assistance
4. Maintaining strong client relationships and cross-selling Timmons Group services outside of direct professional expertise
5. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including mid-sized, small, or larger projects
6. Performing projects such as ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking, and high-definition surveys
7. Performing calculations and utilizing computers to solve surveying problems
8. Communicating regularly with the Group Leader, clients, staff, and internal teams

Skills/Requirements

1. Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent CAD software
2. Experience with Leica, Trimble, or equivalent survey data reduction software
3. Experience creating Machine Control Models
4. Experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology
5. Knowledge of Laser Scanning Technology is preferred
6. Understanding of project accounting, scheduling, and budgeting for multiple projects
7. Experience in client development and supervising technical staff
8. Proficiency with technical and office support software
9. High energy, creativity, flexibility, and self-starting attitude
