Position Overview

This position is funded in part through federal funds.

RECRUITMENT RANGE: $59,732.00 - $85,846

Job Responsibilities

• Applying laws, regulations, rules, and protocols established by the state or federal government.
• Making decisions independently or in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members.
• Completing survey reports.

Qualifications

• Must pass the Federal Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) within 2 years of hire.

Work Region and Schedule

This is a home-based position serving the counties of Alexander, Allegheny, Ashe, Caldwell, Catawba, Davie, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes. The Surveyor spends about three days weekly in nursing homes conducting inspections, with occasional weekend or night shifts. Overnight stays may be required for locations over 60 miles from the home base.
