Job summary

Unity Health HomeCare, part of LHC Group under the Optum family, is hiring a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Arkansas. The PTA will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education to improve well-being, following the plan of care established by the supervising PT.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through exercise, observing progress, coordinating with the health-care team, and educating patients and families within the PTA scope.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed PTA in Arkansas.
• Current drivers license and vehicle insurance.
• Weekend rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the treatment plan under the supervising PT.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise and gait training.
• Observe, record and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patients, family and other health-care team members on therapy within PTA scope.
