Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Elite Home Health, is hiring a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant in Arkansas. The PTA will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education under the established plan of care in a home health setting.

Primary responsibilities include following state home PT laws, guiding patients through active and passive exercises, and coordinating with the supervising PT and care team. Weekend rotation availability is required.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license/registration in state of practice.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT; perform only supervised procedures defined by the supervising PT and advise changes to the plan of care.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, and functional training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment; coordinate care with the supervising PT and health care team.
• Instructs patient, family and caregivers in therapy within the PTA scope of practice.
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, or disability.
