Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Practice Manager to lead the on-site team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive business results. You will develop and support staff, manage patient flow, and align with clinical leadership to ensure high performance.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership in optical/healthcare, licensure, and strong coaching and analytics skills within a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Optician certification preferred.
• Business, hospitality, healthcare, optical, or management education preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to guide team across multiple practice functions.
• Strong communication, coaching, observation, and follow-up skills.
• Adaptability supporting evolving systems, tools, and AI-enabled technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and labor planning.
• Serve as primary on-site floor leader managing team alignment and patient needs.
• Set clear expectations and priorities for staff and performance goals.
• Partner with Optometrist to support exam flow and clinical support.
• Coach and develop staff, recognize performance, and accountability.
• Support new hire development, training, and technology updates.
• Reinforce exceptional patient service and handle service recovery.
• Monitor patient feedback and identify opportunities and gaps.
• Review performance trends and collaborate with District Manager on goals.
• Learn and adapt to practice systems and evolving workflows.
