Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the AMG Epworth Crossing Urgent Care East in Newburgh, IN. This PRN role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality patient care through clinical assessments, medication administration, and essential diagnostic services.

You’ll educate patients and families, translate discharge plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support smooth recoveries and timely interventions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Indiana LPN licensure required before hire date.
• High school diploma or equivalency required; professional licensure may substitute education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vital clinical assessments and monitor patient well-being for early intervention.
• Administer prescribed therapies and monitor responses for safety and effectiveness.
• Perform laboratory tests and related diagnostic/therapeutic services as needed.
• Educate patients and families with clear discharge plans to support home recovery.

• Empower patients and families through education by translating complex discharge plans into clear, holistic self-care instructions that ensure a successful recovery at home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
