Job summary

Complete Care in New Jersey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager to lead daily nursing operations, mentor staff, and uphold our high standard of resident care.

You will supervise shifts, conduct rounds, coordinate with physicians, and ensure HIPAA compliance while fostering a collaborative, family-like environment. Experience in long-term/sub-acute care and PCC software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered New Jersey Practical Nurse License.
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in sub-acute care in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Computer knowledge and PCC software experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times throughout the shift.
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members.
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents.
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
