Job summary

Complete Care, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager to lead daily nursing operations and mentor staff. You will oversee medication administration, rounds, and care plan implementation, ensuring high-quality resident care.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with physicians. A current NJ LPN license and PCC familiarity are required for success.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered New Jersey LPN license is required.
• Experience supervising staff in a long.term care setting preferred.
• Strong patient care coordination and clinical leadership skills.
• Familiarity with PCC software for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on assigned shift and monitor medication distribution.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times per shift.
• Provide education to staff, residents, and families as needed.
• Assess patient needs to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Track treatments and progress per HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with physicians to support recovery and care plans.
• Ensure duties comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Qualifications

• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Practical Nurse License
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required
• Experience in sub-acute care in a long-term care setting preferred
• Prior experience managing staff is preferred
• Computer knowledge and experience using PointClickCare (PCC) software

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times throughout the shift
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator
