Job summary

Premise Health in Williamsport, MD is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to care for client employees and dependents in our on-site Health Center. The role emphasizes phlebotomy skills, patient care, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NLN-accredited program and an AS degree or equivalent.
• Currently licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• At least three years of clinical LPN/LVN experience in ambulatory/occupational health or ED.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision and within scope of practice.
• Performs and documents medical tasks including medication administration, wound care, and specimen collection per provider orders.
• Maintains equipment, infection control practices, and safe environment.
• Maintains accurate health records and supports other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Williamsport, MD.
The scheduled hours are PRN - as needed with the protentional to grow into a set schedule.

• We are seeking someone with strong phlebotomy skills, friendly personality with a focus not only on patient care but also great customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
