Job summary

Water's Edge at Port Jefferson for Rehabilitation and Nursing in New York is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for residents in the Skilled Unit and Long Term Care Unit. Responsibilities include medication administration, including IVs, and taking and recording vital signs.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, daily pay option, and benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, 1199 union benefits, and fringe perks. Current LPN license is required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license.
• Active LPN license in NY.
• Experience in skilled nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for residents in Skilled and Long Term Care units.
• Medication administration, including IVs.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Provide resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcomes.
• Educate residents and families.
• Communicate with physicians, NPs, families and other health professionals.
• Supervise CNAs.
