Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in New Orleans, LA is hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). This role offers an ESOP and company stock at no cost, along with comprehensive health benefits and retirement options.

The LPN will provide nursing and supportive care under the direction of the RN, coordinate with physicians and the hospice team, document services, and ensure adherence to Medicare/Medicaid hospice regulations while maintaining strong time management.

Qualifications

• Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Minimum 2–3 years as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and supportive care per the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care under RN direction.
• Coordinate with physicians, hospice team, and other agencies to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document services and submit on appropriate forms.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid hospice benefits regulations.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Demonstrate excellent time management.
